In October 2012 my sister Sarah came out to Boston and spent a couple weeks with me.
She flew in late Saturday evening so Sunday morning before church we headed up to Maine and made a stop at Nubble Light.
It was a cold morning but so beautiful.
It was great to be out early in the morning and see the majestic sun reflecting off the ocean.
It was a cold morning but it was a breathtaking one.
After our stop in Maine we headed down to New Hampshire and got to see two more lighthouses. This one is the Isles of Shoals lighthouse. You can see it from Fort Constitution.
This is from the same stop and is the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse which is on the property of Fort Constitution.
Fort Constitution was built in the 1600's and was manned by the soldiers of the Province of New Hampshire that reported to the colony's royal governor.
It is now a Coast Guard station and in order to go in you have to stay on the blue line.
Sarah took the instructions literal and jumped the place where there was no blue line.
Way to go Sarah you should have been a long jumper in Track.
I was glad that fall was still blooming so Sarah was able to see the beautiful fall colors.
