Hill Cumorah

At the Hill Cumora Visitor Center they have a Cristis Statue. We started out our Hill Cumorah visit in the Visitor Center listening to our Savior talk about his mission in coming to earth and what HEavenly Father's plan was for him. Then we moved into a theater room where we watched a movie on the Restoration. The Restoration movie was much more powerful to me this time in watching it as I had just visited the Smith farm and Sacred Grove. I think the true reality had sunk in and the Spirit was so strong and present at each place we stopped. It was really neat to be able to feel the reasurance of what I believe and to know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one and only true church.
This is Joseph Smith praying in the Grove when he saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ.
This is of when the Angel Moroni showed Joseph Smith where the Golden Plates were burried.
Here is a replica of the Golden Plates and the manuscript.
Here is the Bible and Book of Mormon
This is one of the first Book of Mormon that was printed in 1830
Scriptures around the world. This is every language the Book of mormon is available in.
This monument has been erected by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to commemorate the delivering of the ancient American record known as the Book of Mormon to the Prophet Joseph Smith on September 22, 1927
The figure on top of the shaft represents Moroni. The heavenly messenger who visited Joseph Smith. He is shown as though calling the inhabitants of the earth to hear and to heed the gospel message and as holding in his left hand the Plates from which the "Book of Mormon" was translated.
The west panel shows Moroni delivering the record to Joseph. The south panel depicts the Angel of the Lord showing the record to three witnesses. The east panel depicts Joseph showing, by permission, the record to eight other witnesses. The inscription on the north panel is taken from the last section of the record called the "Book of Moroni."
The shaft and the ornamentations thereon symbolize the administrative pattern of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints which was organized by revelation April 6, 1830. In harmony with that of the original Christian church the representation of lines of light flowing down the center symbolizes the President of the Church. The pillars on each side, his two counselors. The design above the panel with twelve conventional lights represents the twelve Apostles who are called to be Special Witnesses of Jesus Christ. A similar ornamentation on the corners symbolizes the seven presidents of seventies who are special ambassadors to preach the Gospel message. The ornamentation on the corners below the panels represents the presiding Bishopric who officiate in temporal things.

Me with the monument
The flowers and sky up on the hill were so pretty I had to share.
Looking over the valley from atop the hill.
At the entrance of the grassy area of Hill Cumorah is a stone depiction of the Book of Mormon.
The inscription says
The Book of Mormon
"Wherefore, it is an abridgement of the record of the people of Nephi, and also of the Lamanites--Written to the Lamanites, who are a remnant of the House of Israel and also to Jew and Gentile."
Moroni's Promise
"When ye shall receive these things I would exhort you that ye would ask God the Eternal Father, in the Name of Christ, if these things are not true...He will manifest the truth of it unto you."
I know if you will do as Mornoi says and ask God to know if these things are true that God will answer you. I know this because I asked and he answered me and told me the Book of Mormon is true, and Joseph Smith is a true and real Prophet of God.
