Spring

Spring is finally here and everything has started to blossom.

This is Grandmother Willow's daughter and she has found a home near my home. I thought this was a really funny tree so I wanted to share it.

As I drive to work I have noticed there are so many different colors. The thing that has stuck out to me the most is the many different colors of red. There has been different shades of red.

The other thing I have seen a lot of here is a lot of tulips they are everywhere and they are so beautiful.

There are many more beautiful things I have seen. It is so pretty I just love it!

When you can see the beauty of the earth, what a gran blessing we have been given to look at everyday. What beautiful creates Heavenly Father has made for us to enjoy in life.

Too much water and no where for it to go!

A week ago on March 29th-31st we got a second big rain storm. There was flooding with the first storm just a few weeks before. Can you imagine trying to add more water when everything is already soaked? It is like taking a sponge and putting it in a bucket of water and you just keep filling the bucket thinking the sponge should keep soaking up the water. That is how the ground is here right now. It is over a week since the rain stopped and people are still pumping water out of their basements. There were a few neighborhoods that had to be evacuated because of rivers and lakes near there homes that were causing major flooding. A day or two after the rain stopped is when the rivers finally crest to where they new the water wouldn’t rise any more. Bridges and roads have been washed out.

One day I had to find a new way home because one of the roads I take was under a few feet of water.  This is the road that connects to the one that was closed because of the water. All of the businesses in the area along this intersection were flooded. The crazy thing is I came back down the road the next morning and all of the water was out of the roads and gone from most everywhere. I have no idea where it all went but there sure was a lot of it.

The parking lot behind the bank was still flooded and closed a few days after it stopped raining.

This is a park near my house. It got flooded with the first rain storm. It had just finally been cleared of all the water and it rained again and filled it up. I drove past the park again today and it is still pretty full of water. The level hasn't decreased much at all and it has been a week and a half since it stopped raining.

This is a street just a few blocks from my house. Even under ground there is no where for the water and there are a lot of the man holes that they have cones around because there is so much water flowing up from them. like you see in these pictures.

And believe it or not it rained again today. But it is suppose to be nice tomorrow. The great thing with all the rain is we are getting a very early spring. So many things are is such a full bloom right now everything is popping out and looking pretty.
